WHO'S INVITED TO THE TOWN HALL MEETING?
All available current UNCSA dance students and all UNCSA dance alumni in attendance at the 2018 Picklestock Reunion are invited to attend the School of Dance Town Hall Meeting. (Non-dance majors will be attending their own meetings at this time.)

Update on Panelist Selection
The following 7 individuals were selected to be our UNCSA School of Dance panelists: Dayna Fox, Courtney Greer, Amanda Oakley Hort, Juel Lane, Alexandra Sokol, Jules Szabo (moderator/panelist), and Gary Taylor.
Panelist Selection Timeline: By NOON on August 9, 2018, please let Jules know of your interest in being a panelist by email at [email protected]. It would be helpful if you could email your resume and headshot by the NOON August 9, 2018 deadline as well. (A link to a video of you dancing, teaching, or speaking is welcome but not required.) The list of interested persons and recommendations will be submitted to the UNCSA Picklestock 2018 School of Dance Town Hall Committee on August 10, 2018.
To be eligible as a panelist, you must be available to attend the School of Dance Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, August 25, 2018. This is a volunteer opportunity (speaking fees are not available).

Panelist Arrival Time and Pre-event Photos:
All panelists must arrive at the Agnes de Mille Theatre at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Pre-event photos will be taken.
Panelist Introduction Plans:
After a short intro, the moderator will ask each panelist (one-by-one) to share something “professional, personal, and particular (or peculiar)” about themselves. Each panelist should speak for no more than 3 minutes (practice and time yourself!). Once all panelists have completed their introductions, we’ll move to the Moderator’s Questions.
Moderator's Questions:
The moderator will introduce this portion of the meeting by explaining that we will go one-by-one down the line of panelists as follows: Starting with the first panelist, we will ask for his/her answer to the first question below, then show his/her video bio (see "Video Bio" below), and then ask him/her to answer the second question below. We will then move to the next panelist and proceed the same way: 1st answer; video bio; 2nd answer; next person.

What would you consider to be two to three highlights of your life and career, generally related to your training at UNCSA?

What would you consider to be a low point in your career and what did you learn from it? End with words of wisdom you could give the current UNCSA dance students.
After all panelists have answered the above questions, we will move to the Q&A segment.
Q&A:
Assuming there’s time, we will open the audience microphone up to 3-4 questions which can be directed to any one of us.
Post-event Photo Shoot:
After the event, students and alumni will be invited on stage for a large group photo.
Video Bio Idea:
What do you think about the idea of having a video clip to precede your discussion about the highlights of your career and life? If you like this idea, Jules can put any photos you can provide into a video format. Simply complete the following steps by August 15, 2018: Upload 8-10 photos HERE which gives a visual story of your life and career. Upload the photos in the order in which they should appear in the video montage, starting with a photo of you when you attended UNCSA and ending with a reasonably current photo. Jules can put your photos into a video montage and share with you by August 21 for final approval.
Town Hall Videotape Plans:
The 2018 Picklestock School of Dance Town Hall meeting will be videotaped.

Registration for Picklestock, Travel, and Accommodations:
Due to limited Picklestock funds, selected panelists must agree to cover whatever travel or hotel fees would be required to participate as a panelist. Picklestock registration is not required for the panelist opportunity but would be required if you wanted to participate in the other alumni events scheduled for the August 23-25, 2018 Picklestock Reunion. For your convenience, here are links to the Picklestock registration and the hotel where many of the alumni are staying.
