Meet Tracy

My Story
I was born and raised in a small town in Michigan. I started dancing when I was 10. As a child I enjoyed dance but it wasn’t until high school that I really fell in love with dance. At this time I also did summer dance conventions and competitions. I became an assistant dance teacher for the younger classes. I was also on the Varsity Pom Pon squad for 4 years.
I debated between a dance major or education major for college. Ultimately I ended up going with Elementary Education. I took a couple of dance classes during college because I missed it dearly. Junior year of college I joined and started a dance team on our campus and loved every minute of it. Fast forward, post college I danced very little. I took an occasional Zumba class here or there and enjoyed some salsa classes; but it wasn’t the same. I had lived in Florida for over a decade, and then just over a year ago I moved to Raleigh, NC. Shortly afterwards I found TDW… Â
What TDW Means to Me
Dancing has always been my favorite form of art expression. When I dance the world fades away and all my stresses are set aside during that small time - I feel free and alive! It is pure joy for me! Finding Jules and TDW was like an answered prayer. I didn’t even realize how much I missed dance over the last 15 years until I found TDW! It means I get to dance again; and being surround by wonderful, kind women, who also share the same love for dance is just a bonus! TDW brought dance back into my life and I am so grateful!
